Ralph Waite

It's so sad to hear the news that Ralph Waite, famous for his role as the father, John Walton Sr. in the classic 70's CBS TV series The Waltons has died aged 85. 

For many my age, he will be remembered for this iconic role though not a year has passed without him being cast in a TV drama role. Most recently, he has starred as Hank Booth in the Fox TV series 'Bones'. A very talented actor and a sad loss.
