A Local Landmark No More

 

A landmark for 52 years in King's Lynn - The Campbell's Soup tower, was demolished this morning. What's particularly poignant about this is the fact the button to set off the explosives was pressed by Sarah Griffiths, the daughter of Mick Locke who lost his life whist working there in 1995.
I would have liked to have witnessed this myself as King's Lynn is very close to here. The site is now clear for supermarket expansion, hotel, car showroom and leisure complex.
