Farewell Sarah-Jane...

What a shock it has been to hear of the sad death of Elisabeth Sladen. I think I speak for many when I say that this news came as a complete surprise and not only to fans but colleagues also. I will have fond memories of Elizabeth's wonderful performances alongside Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. It was only recently that we lost Nicholas Courtney. That too came as a shock to many. It is though comforting to know that they can be remembered and appreciated by this and future generations through their work in TV. I understand the BBC are putting together a fitting tribute to be shown as part of the first episode of the new series of Doctor Who to be broadcast this coming Saturday. I'm sure it will be done well but very moving. I bid a fond farewell to a hugely talented and much loved actress. Sleep well...
