A real Richard the Third of a record...

Today, I visited my favourite local second hand store in search for more records. I've written of my love for vinyl many times in the past and as I get older, the stronger my passion becomes.
Lately I've managed to find some real gems, but today I found mainly Christmas themed records and an LP of Paper Lace's greatest hits (all of which could really fit easily onto a 45). One record I do regret buying is an LP of Christmas carols sung by the once famous Chas and Dave.

Quite what possessed me to buy it I don't really know as the record is probably one of the worst I have ever listened to! The music itself is OK and would be quite nice, if I could remove the voices. I would actually go as far to say that it is probably the worst thing Chas and Dave have ever recorded. You simply cannot turn classic carols into a Cockney singsong - it does not work.
So sorry Chas and Dave, it's real Richard The Third of a record, it really is 'pony and trap'!

Lynda Bellingham

I was shocked to hear of the passing of Lynda Bellingham on Sunday. I had known she was terminally ill, but I really thought, as did man...
